Colossians 3

3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

² Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
⁶ For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
⁷ In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
⁸ But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
⁹ Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
¹⁰ And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
¹¹ Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
¹² Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
¹³ Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
¹⁴ And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
¹⁵ And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
The bible encourages us to set our affections on things above (meaning heaven) and not on earthly things. When a person is really born anew, that persons affections are always geared towards pleasing God and not man. Your thoughts get preoccupied with pleasing God, winning souls for Christ, helping others more frequently,  thinking about the welfare of others before your own, (That was all Jesus did during His ministry on earth) not being easily angered, seeing others better than yourself, and loving people more deeply.
There is always peace in that person's life, even in the mist of great trials or tribulations. Even when faced with situations that look or feel hopeless. That peace comes from the Holy Spirit. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Anything otherwise is not from God. Your conscience will always tell you whether your life is glorifying God or bringing glory to His worthy name.
The fruits of those whose affection are on things in the earth (in other words carnal) are very obvious. They mind earthly things, thing that gratify  the SELF, which is our worse enemy. We LOVE to go partying (almost every weekend), love to entertain SELF, watch TV always (knows all the name of the movie stars but barely knows the names of the prophets in the bible, adultery, forncations, lying, etc.
I am talking about those who call themselves believers in Christ. Because we are held at a higher standard. We are to shine as light in this dark and dying world. We are to lead people to Christ by our way of live. How are you glorifying God when you spend more and most of your time shopping, partying, going on cruises, Disney world, fighting, envy, just plain carnally minded. While other faithful christians  are going soul winning, tending to the poor and destitute.
Going on mission fields to help the poor in third world countries. There is nothing wrong in going to a party, cruise, etc, but if that is  ALL you spent your time doing, then you may not genuinely be a true follower of Jesus Christ. The Bible says by their fruits you shall know them, but you sure are not exhibiting the fruit that becometh a crhistian. You are minding earthly things.
If you sow rightousness, holiness, purity, love, kindness, patience, longsuffering, joy, etc you will reap the same. But if you sow hatred, malice, unforgiveness, slander, envy, backbitting, unholiness, carnality, quarreling, most likely you will reap the same. Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked.
Live your life as if it is your last, for you do not know when your soul will be demanded by Your maker. Let your light so shine that others will glorify God because of it.
mortify means To cause to experience shame, humiliation, or wounded pride; humiliate.

 To discipline (one's body and physical appetites) by self-denial or self-inflicted privation.

 To practice ascetic discipline or self-denial of the body and its appetites according to The Free Dictionary. As a born again, spirit filled, transformed child of God, do you really practice mortifying your flesh?.

It will cost you everything, beause the Bible says in other to be Jesus's disciples, we must take up OUR cross daily (not weekly, monthly, or yearly) , die to SELF and follow Him.

Most christians think that because they go to church on sunday, it automatically qualifys them for heaven. My beloved it takes believing by faith in Jesus as the Son of God who came to earth to die for the sin of the world, buried, rose again the third days, ascended to heaven, will return after the last trump(post tribulation), turning away from your old sins and ways(repentance). Repent everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and be baptist. The Holy Spirit will make you dead to this world, buried with christ, transformed in the inner man, daily reading the Bible and doers of the Word, daily carrying your cross, visiting the fatherless, poor, loving other unconditionally, and endure to the end.

Be mindful of how you live your life here on earth, because it is no longer you that lives, but Christ that lives in you. Let the qualities of Jesus Christ shine through in your life. May God bless you. 

False prophets

1 Kings 22 vs 19-23

¹⁹ And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
²⁰ And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.
²¹ And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.
²² And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
²³ Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

This is a very interesting chapter. Please take the time to read all the chapter because it is still relevant in our times. King Ahab (Queen Jezebel's husband) was planning to go to war at Ramothgilead. He called Jehoshaphat the King of Judah to accompany him. King Jehoshaphat asked Ahab to enquire of the Lord via His prophets if it was ok to go to battle.
King Ahab called about 400 of his prophets and all the prophets prophesied that The Lord has given him the victory. Jehoshaphat was still not really convinced, but asked if he had any other prophet left to enquire of the Lord. King Ahab said there was one prophet left Micaiah, but he hates Micaiah, because all he prophesys about him is evil and not good.
 Micaiah was eventually called due to Jehoshaphat persistence. The messenger sent to call Micaiah told him to please prophesy "positvely", to the king, just like the other prophets were doing. Prophet Micaiah said he will ONLY prophesy what God tells him to. When Macaiah was brought before Ahab vs 15-18 said ¹⁵ So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
¹⁶ And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?
¹⁷ And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.
¹⁸ And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?
Micaiah was slapped for telling king Ahab what the LORD told him to say. King Ahab still went to battle despite what the man of God told him and was killed. Nothing has changed since then. The church is being prophesied to by MANY false prophet, because these prophets tell them things they want to here and so God has again sent them a lying spirit.
How long will people love falsehood?. Things that are bad for us usually taste good e.g chocolate, candy, icecream, fast food, etc, but in the end what do they cause us? toothache, cavity, upset stomach, diabetes, high cholestorol, ete. Learn to love the good and hate the bad. No matter how much God warns His people, they will not stop listening to lying spirits. They do not see anything wrong with it.
God's elect will always turn away from lying prophets, they can easily spot them a mile away. As a rule when a man of God prophesy good things to people always, it is most likely false. We have so many pastors telling you " you can have your best life now" as oppose to what Jesus said "He that does not hate his life will not enter into the kingdom of God. The bible also said that with Much tribulation shall we enter the kingdom of God". So how can it be your best life now?.
God WILL always send true men of God to warn His people of the rampant false prophets and you will not have any excuses to give on the day of judgement if you never heeded His warning. Jesus said in His word "My sheep here my voice", The true sheep of God hear his warning and take heed.
Never forget that you may never be able to spot a false prophet by his outward apprearance. Most of them are so well groomed, they dress the right way in PUBLIC, talk the right way in PUBLIC, very subtle in PUBLIC, pray very well in PUBLIC, but when you look more closely at their personal lives, and closely compare their words with the bible they fail miserable.
Go ahead do your research on any man of God of your choosing. Ask yourself this question: Are they teaching the true word of God, are they adding or subtracting from the word of God, are they not touching some part of the bible e.g the book of Revelation, are they warning you of the endtime, tribulation, are they always encouraging you to read the bible in order to find God's truth for youself.
Do they pray always, in season and out of season, do they encourage you to pursue holiness and life of purity, do they strongly teach againt fornication, adultery, pornography, homosexuality, do they bear godly fruits. For the bible said "By their fruit you shall know them". Take heed that no man deceive you.May God bles you.

Jesus really saves.

Jeremiah 29:11

 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Hi everyone, It is with great joy that l start this blog with the Lord's leading. My prayer is to honor Jesus with my life, my time, my strength, and with my all and all. I sincerely hope you will be bless as l have been bless by the many watchmen that God has provided to warn the church and the world of His soon return. The good Lord will send reliable people that will warn of the impending doom coming on the whole world. God will use insignificant people like myself to do His work. For l must work the works of Him Who called me while it is still day, for when the night is come, the time for works will be done away. Are you willing to work for Him? He will reward you when he comes to take His Bride away. Do not put off turning to the Lord Jesus, beacause He is God come in the flesh. For no greater love has God show to mankind than by becoming a man in order to die physically in the flesh for the sin of the whole world. I know you have heard about this saving grace of God, please do not put it off any longer. Hide God's word in your heart that you may not sin against Him (Psalm 119 vs 11). The God of the Bible really loves you. I really hope you will come to that understanding. For in Him is life and life eveverlasting. Knowing God is knowing life. We live in perilous times, but many of us don't know it. Noah's story is repeating it self again. The world thinks everything is all right, when in actuality it is not. The so called "church" is so asleep that they are not capable of  alerting the people of impending doom, but God will always send labourers into the fields. God said in His word, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free; from the deception sweeping across the world. I thank Watchmen like Rick Frueh of judahslion.blogspot.com for being such a blessing to the Body of Christ. He has inspired me through the help of the Holy Spirit to obey God's call. Come out of the world's system. It only leads to death. May God continue to shine His light in your life, cause you die to self daily,cause you to take up your cross and follow him. You will surely not regret it. God bless you.
