Good morning Lord and thanks for all you do

Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
I just wanted to say Good morning to You Lord for waking me up this morning, i know it is a miracle. I was still breathing when i woke up, i did not have any pain or discomfort. I noticed all my family members still breathing and i realized again that it could only be You Lord. You are beautiful beyond description, to marvelous for words, too wonderful for comprehension like nothing ever seen or heard. Who can grasp your infinite wisdom, who can fathom the depth of your love my God.

I will praise you even if i am the only one left on this earth. Even when others forsake me. You are a great God, i love to dwell on Your way, i like to hear things about You. I love to go to places where Your name is  glorified. You put my mind at peace even in the midst of hostility. Please Lord, teach me to number my days, may i never take any day for granted. May i be drawn to people that love and fear you. May i know the difference between living in the world and not part of it.

Let me always do Your will and not mine will, let me be Your mouth, Your hands, Your feet, Your love, Your kindness in this fast and failing world. Let me have more zeal to do Your will that to do mine, Let winning souls be my supreme goal rather than earthly pursuits that will never be fulfilling.  May my ears not become dull of hearing. May i not be so deceived that i don't know the truth anymore.

I love You Lord, with all my heart, with all my being, with all i am. Let me seek You diligently early and may i find wisdom and help to help in times of need. I really love You and i pray my life will lead others to You. This is Grace checking in today. I hope You have a wonderful day.

Choosing God

I choose God beacause:

GOD will never forsake me. Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee". God's ways are different from our ways. Families and friends may forsake you when trials and tribulations come  like it did to Job in the Bible. He lost all his worldly possessions and children but God was surely with Job though outwardly it did not seem so. It was ONLY a test of Job's faithfulness to God.

GOD will always protect me. Psalms91:1-2 "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust". I read  a story of a godly christian family whose community was hit by a tornado. Prior to this event, this family had spent time in prayers to God to spare their lives. This christian family's house was the 8th house on their street. Most houses in America are in a row or block. The tornado did hit the first  7 houses, crossed over the 8th house and continue down it's path of destruction.

The word of God in Psalms 34:15" The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry". The righteous are believers that faithfully obey the Lord, His fear are in their hearts always, they do not seek to please SELF but rather want to bring glory to the name of God. Choosing God is not the absence of sufferings and tribulation but relying on Him to give you the grace to go THROUGH it.

God is my Armour. In the book of Ephesians 6:10-18 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ...". Relationship is never one sided.  God will be an armour to you if you obey Him.

Most of us are parents. Do you buy a car for your child in college with all Ds, Es, Fs, or  one with all As and Bs. Are you proud of a child that never does house chores, watches tv or video games all day, or proud of a child that does her chores, reads her book, watch minimal tv etc. You get the picture. God is our Father and we are His children. He expects us to obey and follow His ordinances in other to protect us from the wiles of the enemy.

Choosing God comes with alot of blessings and incentives. Like peace, contentment, sound mind, joy, lack of fear, courage, etc.  Choosing God and obeying His word brings us everlasting life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You will never find this in the world. Remain bless and endure to the end.

The Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23
King James Version (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and your neighbour as yourselves. The most important of the fruit of the spirit is LOVE. Loving God means loving others. You must love every one including those that hate you. Matthew 5:43-48Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. ...
I once read a story in the Foxe's book of martyrs where one of the christian who was put in jail awaiting trial to be condemned to death miraculously found the door of the prison he was open and fled. Not long after, the prison guard noticed him missing and porsued  after him, it was winter time. The christian ran until he came to a frozen lake. He was able to carefully and successfully crossed the lake. But when the prison guard attempted to do the same, some part of the ice broke and the guard almost fell in, He shouted for help and the christian insteading of escaping went back out of love to rescue the guard despite the cost.

Needless to say, the guard though very grateful, was obligated by duty to turn him in or risk being killed himself for letting a prisioner escape. The christian was later executed for his refusal to renounce Jesus. Do you have such love for your fellow neighbour?. It is not easy, but God's grace through His Holy Spirit will enable you. I will share a story a found at crossroad.to About a Christian father's choice. (All done in LOVE). May you be richly blessed and inspired to do the same

                                   A FATHER'S CHOICE

AFTER A FEW OF THE USUAL SUNDAY EVENING HYMNS, THE CHURCH'S PASTOR SLOWLY STOOD UP, WALKED OVER TO THE PULPIT AND, BEFORE HE GAVE HIS SERMON FOR  THE EVENING, BRIEFLY INTRODUCED A GUEST MINISTER WHO WAS IN THE SERVICE THAT   EVENING.  IN THE INTRODUCTION,   THE PASTOR TOLD THE CONGREGATION THAT THE GUEST MINISTER WAS ONE OF HIS   DEAREST CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AND THAT HE WANTED HIM TO HAVE A FEW MOMENTS TO GREET THE CHURCH AND SHARE WHATEVER HE FELT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE FOR THE  SERVICE.
WITH THAT, AN ELDERLY MAN STEPPED UP TO THE PULPIT AND BEGAN TO SPEAK.   "A FATHER, HIS SON, AND A FRIEND OF HIS SON WERE SAILING OFF THE PACIFIC COAST," HE BEGAN, "WHEN A FAST APPROACHING STORM BLOCKED ANY ATTEMPT TO GET  BACK TO THE SHORE.  THE WAVES WERE SO HIGH, THAT EVEN THOUGH THE FATHER  WAS   AN EXPERIENCED SAILOR, HE COULD NOT KEEP THE BOAT UPRIGHT AND THE THREE  WERE   SWEPT INTO THE OCEAN AS THE BOAT CAPSIZED."
THE OLD MAN HESITATED FOR A MOMENT, MAKING EYE CONTACT WITH TWO TEENAGERS  WHO WERE, FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE SERVICE BEGAN, LOOKING SOMEWHAT  INTERESTED IN HIS STORY.  THE AGED MINISTER CONTINUED WITH HIS STORY, "GRABBING A  RESCUE   LINE, THE FATHER HAD TO MAKE THE MOST EXCRUCIATING DECISION OF HIS LIFE:  TO WHICH BOY HE WOULD THROW THE OTHER END OF THE LIFE LINE.  HE ONLY HAD  SECONDS TO MAKE THE DECISION.  THE FATHER KNEW THAT HIS SON WAS A CHRISTIAN AND  HE   ALSO KNEW THAT HIS SON'S FRIEND WAS NOT.  THE AGONY OF HIS DECISION COULD  NOT BE MATCHED BY THE TORRENT OF WAVES.
AS THE FATHER YELLED OUT, 'I LOVE YOU, SON!' HE THREW OUT THE LIFE LINE  TO   HIS SON'S FRIEND.  BY THE TIME THE FATHER HAD PULLED THE FRIEND BACK TO  THE CAPSIZED BOAT, HIS SON HAD DISAPPEARED BENEATH THE RAGING SWELLS INTO THE BLACK OF NIGHT. HIS BODY WAS NEVER RECOVERED."
BY THIS TIME, THE TWO TEENAGERS WERE SITTING UP STRAIGHT IN THE PEW,  ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT WORDS TO COME OUT OF THE OLD MINISTER'S  MOUTH.
"THE FATHER," HE CONTINUED, "KNEW HIS SON WOULD STEP INTO ETERNITY WITH  JESUS   AND HE COULD NOT BEAR THE THOUGHT OF HIS SON'S FRIEND STEPPING INTO AN   ETERNITY WITHOUT JESUS.  THEREFORE, HE SACRIFICED HIS SON TO SAVE THE  SON'S   FRIEND.  HOW GREAT IS THE LOVE OF GOD THAT HE SHOULD DO THE SAME FOR US.  OUR   HEAVENLY FATHER SACRIFICED HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WE COULD BE   SAVED.  I URGE YOU TO ACCEPT HIS OFFER TO RESCUE YOU AND TAKE A HOLD OF  THE LIFE LINE HE IS THROWING OUT TO YOU IN THIS SERVICE."
WITH THAT, THE OLD MAN TURNED AND SAT BACK DOWN IN HIS CHAIR AS SILENCE   FILLED THE ROOM.
THE PASTOR AGAIN WALKED SLOWLY TO THE PULPIT AND DELIVERED A BRIEF SERMON   WITH AN INVITATION AT THE END.  HOWEVER, NO ONE RESPONDED TO THE APPEAL.
WITHIN MINUTES AFTER THE SERVICE ENDED, THE TWO TEENAGERS WERE AT THE OLD MAN'S SIDE.
"THAT WAS A NICE STORY," POLITELY STATED ONE OF THE BOYS, "BUT I DON'T  THINK IT WAS VERY REALISTIC FOR A FATHER TO GIVE UP HIS ONLY SON'S LIFE IN  HOPES THAT THE OTHER BOY WOULD BECOME A CHRISTIAN."
"WELL, YOU'VE GOT A POINT THERE," THE OLD MAN REPLIED, GLANCING DOWN AT  HIS WORN BIBLE.  A BIG SMILE BROADENED HIS NARROW FACE, HE ONCE AGAIN LOOKED UP AT THE BOYS AND SAID,  "IT SURE ISN'T VERY REALISTIC, IS IT?   BUT I'M STANDING HERE TODAY TO TELL YOU THAT STORY GIVES ME A GLIMPSE OF WHAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN LIKE FOR GOD TO GIVE UP HIS  SON FOR ME.
YOU SEE --- I WAS THAT FATHER AND YOUR PASTOR IS MY SON'S FRIEND."

Always follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. You will never be wrong. I will continue with the other fruit of the spirit in other blogs. God bless you.

Something wierd is going on!

End Times

Wake up Church!!

Are you really saved?

Acts 2

(KJV)
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

We read this whole chapter because this is what being saved in Christ Jesus is all about. If you have not experienced a situation like the one mentioned in this chapter, then it is most likely you are not saved.

The indwelling of the Holy Ghost is what sets you apart from an unsaved person, It is the Holy Ghost that makes you think and act differently. Some people think that by being very nice, well mannered, going to church, respecting others, not using fowl language, giving to the poor, etc, that they are then christian. But they could not be further from the truth.

Being saved is so drastic that others will see it. You yourself will know because the transformation will be amazing. You will find yourself doing things you could never imagined capable of doing. For example a person that is a chronic drunkard after coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost (true convertion) will stop drinking alcohol immediately. This is not by this person's will or power, but by the Holy Ghost indwelling that person.

A trully saved person will have a really transformed life to the point that they cannot compare their old life with the new one in Christ. That is why true christian are called BORN AGAIN. Old things are pass away. The Holy Spirit in you makes you do things you would normally not do.

Like how the three thousand people in this chapter we read suddenly sold all their properties and shared the money amongs themselves. Can you really see yourself doing that?. Won't people say you are crazy?. Won't you tell yourself that you really are crazy?. Well that is what the carnal, unregenerated, natural man will say. But to the saved such way of life becomes normal.

I remember reading about a church in cypress Texas who left their old churches (not because they were bad) but because they wanted to be like the church in ACTS chapter 2. They are known simple as the church of Christ in cypress, they lived close to each other, their homes are open to everybody including strangers, they would wash others feet, shared everything except their spouse. During offering they will tell you to dip your hand in the bag and take whatever amount of money you need to met your needs.

But the bible says that the things of God are FOLISHNESS to those that are perishing in otherwords God's way does not make sense at all. God says NARROW WAY and the world says BROADWAY, no wonder most of Jesus followers left except the disciples when He told the in order to be his disciples, we most drink His blood and eat His flesh symbolic of His sufferings.
Go to the Bible and read it diligently to know if you are saved, because if you are waiting for your pastor or a man of God to assure you that you are saved, you might be greatly disappointed. Be like the Bereans in the bible who after hearing or listening to a preacher went back to their homes and searched the bible to see if what the preacher said tallies with the word of God.
As for me and my house, we shall serve the lord. The book of Proverbs says that he that diligently seeks the Lord will find Him. Are you really saved? When the roll is called up yonder, again when the roll is called up yonder, will you trully be there?.

May God richly bless you as you forsake every thing for the kingdom of God and His Christ.

Grace

1 Corinthians 1 vs 3-8

GRACE be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
King James Version (KJV)
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Genesis 6:8
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Genesis 19:19
Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die.
It is because of the GRACE of God that we are saved. His GRACE causes us to have wells of living water, a well that will never run dry. We humans are incapable of seeking or searching after God. He searches for us and when He has found us, He sends us out through His GRACE to search for others, that none might be lost. I write to you guys not of my strength or self will but by His GRACE ( God's unmerited favor to me. Oh thank God!).
God's grace humbles us. It helps us to better understand the manifold greatness of God's salvation to mankind through Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. God gives us the grace to follow Him, and as we follow Him diligently, He gives us more grace. It takes the Holy Spirit in ones live to understand the things of the spirit.
I pray that God's grace will find you and cause you to walk the NARROW way with Him who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is not by your works of rightoeusness that you have been saved but by grace. I also pray the grace of God will keep you from being deceived, delusioned, or destroyed by the enemy of God.
1 Peter 1:13  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
The grace of God will help you to know the truth, to enable you know the difference between falsehood and what is real. The grace of God will cause you to witness for Jesus Christ despite the cause. The grace will cause you to never look back at the world like Lot's wife did because the Bible said that nobody having put their hand to the plow and turning back is fit for the Kingdom of God.
May His grace enable us to walk well with others, help us to endure longsufferings, esteem others better than ourselves, carry our cross daily and faithfully. Most christians want a crossless faith (i.e no suffering whatsoever). Just pure enjoyment all the way (That is the BROADWAY my friend, it only leads to hell!). Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God and His rightoeusness and every other thing shall be added to you.
May the GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and forevermore Amen
